Case Study: Casa Grande Police Boosts Event Security
The City of Casa Grande hosts a packed calendar of events that attract thousands of visitors each year. While these gatherings are a source of civic pride, they also bring a complex mix of security challenges, including crowd control, theft, potential terror threats, and emergency response coordination.
For the Casa Grande Police Department, one of the biggest concerns was achieving full situational awareness across dispersed event sites. Not every venue was centrally located, and officers couldn’t be present in all areas at once.
To solve this, the department deployed WCCTV’s Mobile Surveillance Trailers. These autonomously powered systems delivered live and recorded video from any location, providing critical coverage, acting as a visible deterrent, and enabling remote access via smartphones and tablets.
“The Casa Grande Police Department found a solution through technology such as WCCTV, which gave the ability to monitor in real-time without having to be physically present. In the event of an emergency, this allows command staff to identify and deploy the right resources to the scene.”
Lt. Frank Alanis, Casa Grande Police Department
