Inventory & Logistics Coordinator 

Wireless CCTV, LLC (“WCCTV”) located in Richardson, Texas, is a subsidiary of Wireless CCTV Ltd originally established and located in the UK. Position:

WCCTV is looking for an experienced Inventory & Logistics Coordinator for our Operations department.

 

Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, providing logistics support and supporting warehouse operations, maintaining accurate inventory records for all material/product coming into and out of all locations and ensuring efficient inventory management procedures are followed. Provides support in logistics activities required by the business.

 


Primary Responsibilities:

 

Inventory:

  • Stores material in proper location, ensuring it is easily identifiable and accessible to Production staff.
  • Update stock records using internal systems including but not limited to MS log, Access, Syrinx.
  • Transfers inventory stock using internal systems for depot movements within and between WCCTV locations.
  • Assists with weekly and monthly cycle counts of company inventory ensuring accuracy between ERP/Accounting system records and physical inventory in the warehouse.
  • Records all items coming in and out of the warehouse to include documenting Depots, serial numbers, jobs, quantity, date, etc.
  • Maintains data consistency by taking ownership and being proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement in data handling and reporting.
  • Assists in the investigation of discrepancies when they occur.
  • Labels items for storage, use, and transfer.
  • Ensures locked areas of the warehouse are safe while cooperating with other warehouse and Field service employees to ensure work is completed smoothly.
  • Maintains a well-organized workspace; and supports maintaining a 5S environment within the warehouse.
  • Follows all health and safety procedures within a warehouse environment.

 

Logistics:

  • Serve as the main point of contact on day-to-day basis with carriers and freight forwarders, arranging pickups and drop-offs at WCCTV locations and job sites.
  • Accepts incoming shipments and deliveries from carriers; immediately inspects material for damage.
  • Unloads material and verifies completeness of delivered items against packing slip and purchase order. Enters receipt of material in Purchasing/Accounting system.
  • Identifies and resolves shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise.
  • Raises compensation claims with freight forwarders for goods damaged in transit.
  • Processes product return shipments from customers and route to RMA department.
  • Identifies and resolves shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise.
  • Prepares items for shipping, verifies correct quantity against orders and ensures the destination and route are correct.
  • Schedules pickup with carriers as needed.
  • Coordinates all logistics needs with the scheduling team.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure continuity and streamlined processes related to material handling, inventory control and related documentation.
  • Operates dolly, pallet jack and/or forklift in loading and unloading of material and supplies.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of prior inventory & logistics experience in a warehouse environment is required.
  • Basic understanding of inventory control and logistics management procedures required.
  • Prior experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliations
  • Prior experience operating inventory scanners, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently is required.
  • Experience with inter-company inventory transfers is preferred.
  • High attention to detail for all Inventory processes to minimize variances in cycle counts.
  • Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with other internal departments and external vendors/suppliers.
  • High attention to detail, effective time management and organizational skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and be highly productive with minimal guidance or supervision.
  • Basic to intermediate skills using MS Office and ERP systems required. Excellent data entry skills required. Adavanced user of Excel is preferred.
  • Previous experience with freight carrier online systems (UPS, Fedex, etc) preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

 

This is 100% onsite position with work hours of Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Ability to work some overtime is required.

 

 

Physical requirements:

  • Position works in a warehouse and is required to sit/stand at a computer and walk extensively throughout the day.
  • Position requires extensive use of a computer, telephone and other office related equipment.
  • Physical ability to speak, see, sit, stand, bend, reach, walk, fine motor skills/hand dexterity, push, pull and lift/carry up to 35+ lbs. is required.

  

Other:

  • Ensures that all procedures are adhered to as stipulated in the WCCTV Quality Procedures and Quality Policy in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
  • Any other duties within the level of competence as requested by the Directors or Senior Management of the Company.

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Starting hourly rate of up to $19 per hour for highly experienced candidates.
  • 10 days paid vacation (increases with length of service) + seven (7) paid Company holidays.
