The Job Opportunity: Field Technician

Work hours are Monday through Friday generally between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:00 pm (may vary based upon customer installation schedule); some overtime is required.  Ability to work one Saturday per month is also required.

Primary responsibilities of the position include providing support to the existing team with installation, de-installation and maintenance of surveillance and security equipment in the DFW Metroplex and throughout the State of Texas.  Additional responsibilities include:

1. Installation of WCCTV Systems at customer locations/sites

  • Installation & de-installation of Solar surveillance Trailers & systems

  • Fault Diagnosis & Maintenance of low voltage Camera systems

  • Surveying Sites

  • Completing installation sign off paperwork

  • Testing of products before deployment

  • Programming surveillance cameras / Routers and equipment

  • Managing personal tool & vehicle Inventory

  • Adhering to all field safety requirements of Wireless CCTV and its customers

2. Business Improvement

  • Assist in the implementation of improvements wherever possible to reduce costs and improve time efficiency
  • Assist and update production processes and documentation

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent; 0 - 1 years of prior work experience in the electronics security or related industry preferred.

  • Experience with hand tools test equipment, multi-meter usage, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices helpful.

  • Ability to travel within and outside of the DFW metroplex using company provided vehicle.

  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and good driving record.

  • Demonstrated effective time management, planning and organization skills along with ability to multi-task as this is a “hands on” role.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with internal staff and customers.

  • Physical requirements include driving, seeing, lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly, climbing ladders, bending, reaching and fine motor skills/hand dexterity for the use of tools.

  • Basic computer skills to include MS Office and diagnostic software (e.g. PC-based).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting hourly rate of $17 increasing to $19 per hour after successful completion of a 12 week probationary period.

  • Company provided medical, dental, vision and life insurance along with 401(k) Plan with Company match.

  • 10 days of vacation/paid time off (increases with length of service) along with 7 paid Company holidays per year.
